Blue Ocean Reinsurance Group appoint new Chief Accounting Officer

Blue Ocean Reinsurance Group are pleased to welcome Chad Smith as Chief Accounting Officer. Currently based in Canada, Chad joins our team of experts to lead the accounting function of the business and provide expert guidance and advice to our clients.

Originally from Charlottetown, Prince Edward Island, Chad graduated from the University of Prince Edward Island with a Bachelor of Business Administration (Accounting) in 2013. He went on to complete his CPA in 2014 and started his career with Top-5 firm Grant Thornton.

In 2016 he moved to the Cayman Islands where he developed solid experience spanning a variety of industries including insurance, private equity and professional services, moving back to Canada in 2020.
